TechBehemoths Survey Identifies Most Effective Digital Marketing Channels for IT Companies
BERLIN, July 12, 2023 /PRNewswire/ — A recent survey conducted by TechBehemoths revealed the most popular and effective digital marketing tools for IT companies and digital agencies. The survey, which took place between May 15-25, 2023, included 2,542 IT companies from 57 different countries and territories.
Top-performing Channel: Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
According to the survey results released on July 10, 2023, Search Engine Optimization (SEO) emerged as the most successful digital marketing channel. A whopping 69.70% of respondents credited SEO as the channel that generated the highest number of leads for their businesses in the past year. This highlights the importance of optimizing websites and content to improve organic search visibility and attract relevant traffic.
Content Marketing: A Significant Lead Generator
Content Marketing also proved to be a significant lead generator, with 50.60% of respondents attributing their highest number of leads to this strategy. This emphasizes the value of creating and distributing relevant, valuable, and engaging content to attract and engage target audiences.
Social Media Marketing: Driving Success
With 37.80% of respondents reporting Social Media Marketing as a channel that generated their highest number of leads, it showcases the effectiveness of leveraging social media platforms to engage with audiences, promote content, and drive conversions.
Other Effective Channels
While SEO, Content Marketing, and Social Media Marketing took the lead, other channels also contributed to lead generation efforts. Email Marketing, Referral Marketing, and PPC Advertising were identified by 27%, 30.70%, and 22.80% of respondents, respectively, as channels that generated a significant number of leads. These findings emphasize the importance of targeted email campaigns, customer referrals, and paid advertising campaigns in driving lead generation efforts.
Video Marketing, Influencer Marketing, Mobile Advertising, Display Advertising, Business Directories, and Other channels received lower percentages in terms of lead generation but still played a role in the overall marketing efforts of some companies.

The survey results suggest that a combination of digital marketing channels can be effective in generating leads. SEO, Content Marketing, Social Media Marketing, Email Marketing, and Referral Marketing emerged as the primary channels that have proven successful for lead generation in the past year. While new AI tools may not have influenced IT companies’ preferences, it is clear that these established digital marketing channels continue to drive results for the industry.
